- Almost 6000ft of elevation. For Florida this is unique.
- Road surface is bumpy.

- Closed course, mostly flat on a blacktop surface trail. No vehicle traffic.
Run course tips
- Carry some nutrition. The aid stations aren't exactly at each mile.

- This is spectator-friendly since the swim is 2 laps, run and bike are 3 laps. Plenty of opportunities to see athletes..

- It's a small event, not very well attended.
- Staff are super friendly but since it's a really tough course, most people don't enter.
