Swim tips
  • Wear tinted goggles unless you can swim bilaterally.  The sun comes up on the right on the way out and it's blinding.

  • Almost 6000ft of elevation.  For Florida this is unique. 
  • Road surface is bumpy.

Bike Course tips
  • Go with a climbing setup. 
  • Need to check out sugarloaf mountain and notice the different varying grades.

Run course description 
  • Closed course, mostly flat on a blacktop surface trail.  No vehicle traffic.

Run course tips
  • Carry some nutrition.  The aid stations aren't exactly at each mile.

SUPPORTERS

Tips for supporters get the most out of watching the event?
  • This is spectator-friendly since the swim is 2 laps, run and bike are 3 laps.  Plenty of opportunities to see athletes..

  • There is a splash park and big playground at transition area.

Cool things to do after the race:
  • Not much to do in Clermont, but all of Florida's theme parks are only 35 minutes away.

Any warnings that people should know about before entering:
  • It's a small event, not very well attended. 
  • Staff are super friendly but since it's a really tough course, most people don't enter.

OVERALL

General tips:

Best thing about this race:
  • Spectator-friendly.

Anything negative about this race:
  • Aid stations are short and you have to almost stop on the bike.
